Be Mine!

What a great Valentines Day! We went out to Bombay House (same thing we did last year, actually we went to India Palace, but same thing) because we LOOOOVE Indian food. We splurged and each got a mango lassi. Delish.

Andrew was planning our future on his phone while was enjoying my lassi :)

Andrew gave me the sweetest letter that he wrote on parchment paper in CALLIGRAPHY! It must have taken forever and it was so good. He even sealed it with wax. What a catch :)

We came home and had cake...actually, we didn't eat cake until the next day because we were stuffed. And as a result, the cake was a bit dry. But it was the first time i tried making a red velvet cake. It was good, just not as moist as the carrot and pumpkin cakes i'm used to making. This was my first go at a fondant covered cake. I made marshmallow fondant, which was way too fun to make. I've never been so coated in marshmallow in my life. The cake was fun to make. And it turned out better than expected. There are definitely beginner's mistakes, but i covered them up with the hearts :)

Check out my cute valentines! Don't pay attention to the fact that my son in on the stove...

Here's the recipe I used if anyone wants to try their hand at a red velvet cake.
